Concerning the Florida Division of Blind Services Rehabilitation Council for the Blind

WHEREAS,

The Florida Division of Blind Services Rehabilitation Council for Blind is the group charged with overseeing the Florida Division of Blind Services; and

WHEREAS,           

The members of the council are appointed by the Governor directly; and

WHEREAS,

At this time, at least half the positions are vacant, and have been vacant for the past nine months: Now, Therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED

by the National Federation of the Blind of Florida, this twenty-eighth day of May, 2007, in the City of Tampa, Florida, that this organization request from Governor Charlie Crist, that these positions on the Rehabilitation Council for the Blind be filled immediately; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,

that the President of this organization write a letter to Governor Crist, offering the assistance of the National Federation of the Blind of Florida, in selecting these appointments, within the next three months.
